Fundraising for the rarity purchase

Mogilev History Museum has started a targeted collection of voluntary contributions for another rarity purchase. These are 2 small triangular silver ingots, which are called ‘poltinas’ (a half ruble coin) in written sources (The photo was taken from the Internet and is for informational purposes only). They were means of payment on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and neighboring Slavic lands. They are dated to the second half of the 14th – the end of the 15th centuries. Funds can be transferred to the Museum’s charitable account…

The Horner’s Day 

Dear friends! We invite you to our traditional museum festival dedicated to the International Day of Music and our mechanical musician Mogislav – The Horner’s Day. There will be a historical quiz after the author of mechanical musician Gennady Golovchik, a presentation of our new acquisitions, an announcement of the exhibition “Unknown Mogilev – 1918” and a great musical gift. We are waiting for you on Monday, October 1 at 17.00 in the Town Hall.
